    Yeah, I want me more followers.

    Subscribe to my blog ๐Ÿ˜‰

    I want it to go past 7 by the end of the day!

  2. Woo hoo, thanks Sgayan, I am now officially popular. I got me a “Like” ๐Ÿ˜‰ See you on Facebook.

  3. Alright, I liked you too…but don’t expect me to spend time facebooking! I got articles to write over here… ๐Ÿ™‚

    @Steph,

    Wow, that is my record broken already. Back to typing about white socks for me too.

    What next? 3 likes? Bet no one in the history of the WebNet has ever beaten that ๐Ÿ˜‰

  4. Yer, social media sucks. I hate using twitter automation software to get thousands of targeted visitors back to one of my social blogs. Even if they buy a good amount of affiliate products, it’s so not cool ๐Ÿ˜‰

    @Shaun L,

    I am sure that I have absolutely no idea what on earth you are talking about. Who ever heard of such a thing even being possible.

    You talk crazy talk!

  5. Sell Out!

    @Carrie,

    Did you click the “like” button?

    -1 Vote -1 Vote +1Carrie Reply:

    @Dave,

    No, I try to hide my IM stuff from real people (like most of my friends on FB). Maybe if your nice I’ll give you a tweet.

    @Carrie,

    I agree, I try to keep the two separate.

  6. You didn’t even hyperlink your things so we could easily like / follow you… I think you assume I am less lazy than I (and the current generation for that matter) really am

    @Justin,

    I don’t want you to. What’s the point?

    I could get more traffic in half an hours work than I ever could from a couple of Facebook Likes.

    Couldn’t I?

    I don’t even understand Facebook. It makes my brain hurt.

    BUT FOLLOW ME ON TWITTER ๐Ÿ˜‰

  7. Have done both, just for you Dave, I would not do it for anyone else.

    Already feels like I sold my soul, I don’t go to facebook because some one always wants to chat.

    @Suzanne,

    I think I better explain myself. I will do so in the morning.

    Man, I need to stop being sarcastic, it is going to get me in trouble.

    But I appreciate your kind thoughts Suzanne, but I think everyone has their wires crossed.

    @Dave,
    Was only joking Dave, know you wouldn’t ask us to do something unless it was for good reason. I also know you will share it with us, when you are ready of course.

    I know that facebook and twitter a good for marketing, I just don’t really use the social side of it, it is a time sink, and there are already enough of those.

  8. I caved – gave you a facebook like! I don’t use twitter though….don’t really understand why people do either. Maybe I’m old beyond my years.

  9. I guess I should explain this post. It was really just to vent my confusion about the social side. On one hand this blog is a totally social site. I don’t really get search traffic but neither do I go out of my way to get myself known anywhere,

    But love that it is so chatty and it is what I would want from a blog in this niche. But having just been introduced to Facebook by a certain someone I find myself confused. I frankly do not get it. I find the whole thing clunky and weird, yet I like it.

    I don’t care if people Tweet my stuff or click a “Like” button, but I want them too. Wouldn’t it be nice to see that lots of people have made an effort to share your stuff? It would. But I don’t get why.

    I don’t understand why you need Tweets and Likes, well, I don’t think you do, but it is nice when they happen.

    I wasn’t really asking for any of that in this little daft blog post on my insignificant part of the Web. But it is lovely that people took the time to do it, even just a few.

    Totally contradictory and confused, just like the little blog post. I am not even sure I understood it when I wrote it, or what I wanted. Apart from to say that I used to love Twitter but stopped going on it as it was addictive, I will never be on it for this site, ever. Facebook is interesting and I kind of like it and have an interest, but I don’t understand all the “like” business and the “poke” thingy. I can’t believe how clunky it is when so many peeps use it.

    Confusing, boring, addictive, exciting and much about personal vanity.

    My take on “Social Media”.

    (When used for anything other than keeping in touch with friends and family).

    How It Worksโ€ฆ
    1. You earn โ€œpointsโ€ by liking other peopleโ€™s pages.
    2. You get one like for every one point you collect.
    3. Your traffic and reputation go up!

    @Dave, For lack of an Edit feature, a spam alert was triggeredโ€ฆ

    Too tired to make a Chinese proverb out of it ATM. You know the one where a missing pen lost the Chinese a war? It was Sun Tzu from some referenced work. Not The Art of War. In something by Mencius me thinks.

    @Wishal, Are you thinking of “for what of a nail, a kingdom was lost”? The punch line is something like “and all for the want of a horse shoe nail.”

    FWIW, I’ve never seen an Edit button here either ๐Ÿ™‚

    @Isobel, Especially as that should have been “for WANT of a nail”! Definitely no edit button here, Dave!
