The earnings don't show until the items ship so it is usually a day or two. But congrats Dude, now it is just a matter of scale. More sites, hundreds more pages of content and you will be looking at tens of sales a day and then it will be more than just covering the leccie, it will be..............

dave!!! I got my first sale yesterday using your method. this thing really works...

I'm confused though, it says I have made 2 sales today and there's a link for the items supposedly ordered. However there's no earnings...Is it normal?

Thanks man.. If this site continues to get 2 sales a day it can surely pay my electric bill :P thanks for this blog man!

I haven't done it for a while as honestly the return is down to basically zero now. I know for a fact that article sites give little juice now, the links in the footer of the posts are a giant flag.

But they go straight to anything I want the links for, support sites and main sites, but never new sites, they need a good mixed profile that builds up slow and then they can be blasted. The only reason I now do article submissions is to increase a backlink profile, not for rankings per se. And I get peeps on Fiverr to do it.

I also use spun content for Backlinks Solutions, they still work, I tried it last week after a long break, but it is $100 a month and they are usually shut to new peeps.

Can you elaborate on how you are using your spun articles? Do you use Magic Article Submitter or do you have someone on Fiverr do it? Are those articles sent directly to your money site or it is used to back link your back links?

<a href="#comment-10057" rel="nofollow">@Sam</a>,

Well, things have moved on a little in the last few weeks/month. I don't write for article directories at all, and haven't for over a year. I may spin something and get someone on Fiverr to submit to about 500 at a time or use Magic Article Submitter but the days of ranking from writing single articles for directories is well and truly over, even though I ranked very well a year and a half ago by doing just that.

Now I use BMR, Postrunner but lately it has been making much more long term links. Buying aged domains and interlinking them all for a niche to boost the authority of each one and each site linking to one main Uber site for the long term benefits.

Each site has 1 or 2 links to the main one but is also a money earner in its own right with a link on the high PR homepage. It means you get a permanent sticky link that will be around for ever and is what I have been doing lately.

But I have bought all I can stomach so now it will be blasting them all with Postrunner, BMR, forum profile links from Backlinks Philippines and cement their authority and relevance to pass on max link juice.

This is a very fluid game and it is changing quicker every day and getting harder to keep or get rankings, quality links are going to be more important than ever so I want to get in before it is too late and the serps are just full of the big boys, I am going to be one of them. With sites that no-one can touch.

Hi Dave, in other posts you mention you spend many hours a day building links. Does this mean you're writing link building articles for article directories? I understand you're at your computer all day writing until your fingers bleed...are you just writing link building articles? Sorry if this is a stupid question but Im a bit confused.

Thanks

I sent the donation a few days ago, you already replied with the password :). So no worries on that end.

But thanks for the reply! As soon as I get my final schoolwork done for the year (college finals), I'm going to be launching it and seeing what I can do in a few months :).

<a href="#comment-9955" rel="nofollow">@Alex Gold</a>,

I didn't get a conformation Alex, will check. With all product based stuff a good sign is if Amazon has it and there are lots of reviews then you are pretty good to go.

But in product niches you always take your chances. Some things do well and others don't. But that figure is more than achievable, no doubt about it.

And I know I keep banging on about it but wait for Lando's guide, buying aged domains can really allow you to jump the competition for new niche sites. If you have a little to invest then it is worth it. But if not then it can take a little longer to get new sites ranking well.

Hey Dave,

This is great stuff (just donated for the password)! The one thing I didn't see in there -- how do I know if my merchandise gets enough search engine traffic to make it worthwhile? I'm considering a group of products that I know well, and the market for them is pretty empty of web marketers.

As near as I can tell after a bit of research:
 - 50k or so more-or-less related searches.
 - Very little competition on many/most of them.
 - I could write on 50-100 products in distinct categories (all related to the main one).
 - Those who followed affiliate links would generally spend around $20-$100.
 - This would mean, at the lowest pay scale, $0.80 - $4.00 per person.

Though this is a bit vague, do you think it could be a good market to aim for? My "realistic" goal is $500/month within 6 months or so (I can work pretty much full time on it for the next 3 months). I'm just a newbie at all of this so I'm not sure what to predict :).

Thanks!
